Cymbal Ash rose

this is a page dedicated to one of the biggest projects and commissions I’ve undertook to date. they are three flowers made from cymbals including an ash flower. Now I’ve made a flower out of a cymbal before but these cymbals were much harder to work with. and many times thicker then the one I used in a previous piece.

the roses are all made of cymbal-brass and Brass won from coins from the birthyear of the person in the Ash flower.
the stems and leaves are made with copper, the leaves also are from the same birthyear.
the flowers all stand on their own wooden base which has a cymbal disc in the middle topped off with the leather of the original cymbals.

this project truly tested my ability to problem solve around multiple challenges, I’ll add some making off pictures below.
