Ash-Flower: Black Rose

a year ago I made my father the first flower Iā€™d ever made. This year on his birthday he receives another Balthazar Designs First. A flower containing the ash of my late grandparents.

Just like the first flower he received this one is fully made of copper and coins, and just like last time I treated this one with copper nitrate. Though, it posed a problem that actually became the unique character of this flower:
Last year when I was done with the coper nitrate, instead of shedding the reacted nitrate from the fresh nitrate I poured it together, causing it to turn copper green instead of blue. and while heating the nitrate the flower became a gorgeous black. All while retaining the normal properties. This happy little accident became my favorite flower yet!
