Ashes to Memories
This is probably a piece closest to my heart, this pendant contains the remains of my grandfather. This project started with my own Heirloom I inherited from my grandfather: his silver necklace. I wanted to give a very personal gift to my grandmother so I melted my own Heirloom down and began to make a ring for her. Videotaping the process every step of the way. Then during a family gathering presented the ring to her. Of course, she was thrilled, but the ring wasn’t as comfortable on her aging fingers, so Later I converted it into a pendant so she and grandpa could be together again.
