Forget me not
A new take on my forget-me-not.
This might be one of the most symbolic flowers I create. This piece (and its other versions) is entirely dedicated to the symbolism of Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Of course, the forget-me-not itself is already the international symbol for dementia. But the seven small flowers also represent the stages of this terrible disease—one that I am currently experiencing firsthand within my family.
I always find these pieces confronting, yet also special to make. And today, I decided to create it in a different way than I have before.
What do you think of this new version?
